Recycling

Sterling Manufacturing does everything we can to help with the environment. Through years of refining our processes for fabricating foam, we have been able to recycle 95% of our by-product (leftover waste and scrap accumulated during fabrication)!

This is a HUGE step in doing our part to minimize our carbon footprint on the planet.

As a conscientious producer and fabricator, we constantly strive to gain maximum yields from our raw materials to save our customers on their cost as well as to minimize waste.

But then we take it one step further…

Our Expandable Polystyrene (EPS) by-product is recycled into the marketplace through two different industries: (a) it is grinded and used in stuffing for toys and bean-bag furniture and (b) grinded and used in the raw-material production process.

Our Polyurethane (PU) by-product is also recycled into the marketplace through two different industries: (a) it is shredded and used for carpet pads (or underlay) and (b) shredded and rebounded for use as exercise gym and gymnastic mats.

Our Polyethylene (PE) by-product is recycled into the marketplace through two different industries as well: (a) returned to the raw-material producer to be used in new production and (b) blown into film like 4 mil black construction bags.

The corrugated cardboard boxes we accumulate through our inbound products used during our production process is bailed and sent to a paper recycler.

The wood pallets we accumulate through inbound raw materials and products used for our production process are either used in-house, for outbound freight or sent to a pallet recycler.

Feel free to share any ideas you or your company is doing to recycle so we may learn of something we have overlooked because it’s everyone’s responsibility to do what we can to help keep our planet clean.

PUT YOUR PROJECT IN OUR HANDS

No job is too hard or too big for us. If it needs foam then we can make it and send it anywhere in the world.
