OVERVIEW
Sterling Manufacturing utilizes automated machines for our foam contour cutting services. These machines allow for intricate shapes to be cut out of large blocks or sheets of foam from CAD-CAM drawings, obtaining the maximum yields from the raw material and lowering the cost per individual piece.
Before automated machines, this process was performed by hand using patterns of paper, cardboard, wood, etc., hand-drawn onto the foam and then cut using vertical bandsaws. However, with modern technology, we are now able to cut several nested parts from one large block or sheet of foam.
Sterling’s machines offer great flexibility with regards to length, width & height of your finished product.
